“Come out! Come out! Please come out!” Italy said as he rested his head on your swollen belly.
You smiled and ruffled your husband’s hair, “Feli, he or she will come out when they are good and ready. You can’t rush these things.”
“Awww….But I’a want to see our little bambino!”
You shake your head. You and your husband, Feliciano Vargas, who was in fact the very personification of the country of Italy, were expecting your first child. The two of you were supposed to be watching (insert favorite movie), but Italy was more interested in
talking about your soon to be born child.
“(y/n), I’a really wish you would’a let the doctor tell us if mio bambino was a ragazza or
a ragazzo!” Italy said sitting up to look into your (color) eyes with his amber ones.
“But then it would not be a surprise! And I thought you loved surprises, Feli?”
He pouted, “I love surprises! But…Veeee…..I’a really wanna know!”
You chuckle and pushed yourself off the couch. Feliciano hurried to help you to your feet.
“Let’s go check on the lasagna, it’s probably done by now,” You said.
“Veeee~ I’ll go-a help you, amore!”
A while later and at a different location.
Germany was working on some paperwork. He was staying in Italy at a hotel, because he was to see his Godchild soon. As soon as Italy found out that (y/n) was pregnant Germany was begged to be the Godfather. Feliciano and his wife were very Catholic and it was improper to not have a Godfather or Godmother in line to help raise the child. (y/n)’s best friend
(your best friend) was to be the Godmother.
Ludwig sighed and took his glasses off. It was time for a break. Maybe he would drink a beer or two…or three…and relax a bit.
The phone rang. Germany groaned and picked up the phone, “Ja?”
“GERMAAAAANNNNYYY! GERMANY! GERMANY!” a panicked Italy cried over the phone.
“Italy! Calm down and tell me vhat’s vrong!”
“(y-y/n)!!! HELP ME GERMANY! MY BAMBINO IS’A COMING! Her’a water broke and I don’t know
what to do!”
“Alright! I’ll be right there! Pack a suitcase of clothes for her and I’ll be around to get you two soon.”
Germany hung up the phone and stared at his desk for a second.
Not too long after the phone call Germany picked Italy and (y/n) up and rushed to the hospital.
The nurses rushed you off to meet your doctor. Italy was freaking out in the waiting room.
“Ludwig!! What am I’a gonna do?!” he flailed.
Germany grabbed Italy’s shoulders and shook him, “Get ahold of yourself, Feliciano! (y/n)
needs you to calm down and be a pillar of support for her! Now go in there and hold your
Italy nodded, “Right! I’a will do that!”
The Italian bounced away to meet up with his wife. Germany sighed and pulled out his cellphone to make a quick call.
“AHHH!!! FELI IT HURTS SO MUCH!” you cried as Italy held your hand.
Feliciano brushed your (h/c) hair out of your face.
“Hold on amore! It will be over soon!” Italy encouraged, kissing away your tears.
“One more push!” the doctor called.
“AAAHHH!” you cried, giving one last push.
A small wail started to sound. The doctor held up the small baby for you and Feliciano to see.
“It’s a girl!”
Italy’s face broke into a bright smile, “A little ragazza! My little girl!”
Feliciano started to shower you with kisses, “Grazie! Grazie for making me a papa! Ti amo! Ti amo!”
Ludwig walked in to see (y/n), cradling a small pink bundle and Italy lying beside her.
“Ludwig!” you beamed, “Come meet your goddaughter.”
You held your child out and Germany carefully took her in his arms.
“Hallo, mein süßes Patenkind,” he said.
“Feliciano! Why didn’t you’a call me first!” an angry Italian voice called, as Romano
walked into the room, “Instead you’a call this potato b-”
“Mrs Vargas!” Antonio interrupted, “You’re looking well! Well…for spending hours in labor!”
You laugh, “Hello Antonio and hello Lovi.”
“Don’t call me Lovi!” Lovino tsked.
Germany turned to Romano, “Ja, would you like to hold your niece?”
“Niece?!” Romano looked at the small bundle in Germany arms and looked at his twin for
“Go ahead and’a hold her! She needs to meet her Zio!” Feliciano encouraged.
Romano carefully and nervously took the baby from Germany and gave her a small smile.
“Ciao, ragazza. I’m your Zio….” he said.
The baby cooed and reached her little fist up and grabbed Lovino’s curl.
“CHIGGIIIII!!!” Romano cried, “YOU I-”
Spain covered Romano’s mouth and then stole the baby from his arms.
“Don’t cuss in front of the bebé, Lovino~” Spain cooed at the baby and smiled at her,
“What is her name?”
“Crocetta,” you replied.
“I’a wanted to name her Felicita, but (y/n) said’a no,” Feliciano pouted.
Antonio handed Crocetta back to her father. Italy smiled and kissed her little bald head.
“You’re a gonna be as beautiful as your Mamma,” Feli cooed.
“And she will be as kind as her Papa,” you say, giving Italy a kiss.
“Ti amo, grazie for making me a Papa.”
“And I love you too…Thank you for making me a mother.”
